Therapeutic children's homes · North Kent
Bay Tree House runs small therapeutic homes where young people are known by name, held in mind, and given the time and steadiness to grow.

A home, not a placement
Our houses sit on ordinary streets in the North Kent area. They look and feel like family homes because that's exactly what they are — with a therapeutic framework quietly holding everything together behind the scenes.
Teams are small and consistent, trained in trauma-informed practice and supported by clinical supervision, so that the adults around a child can stay warm and regulated even on the hardest days.
Trauma-informed
PACE-based practice across every shift
Clinically backed
Reflective supervision for all staff
Education first
School, college and everything after

Three commitments sit on the first page of every child's plan. They shape how we greet a young person in the morning and how we sit with them at midnight.
Predictable days, familiar faces and adults who stay calm when things are hard. Nothing therapeutic happens before a child feels safe.
We ask what happened to a young person, not what's wrong with them. Behaviour is communication, and we're trained to listen to it.
Bikes, birthdays, muddy boots and bedtime stories. Therapy sits quietly in the background of an ordinary, joyful childhood.
A day here
Cereal, cartoons and someone plaiting hair before school.
Home, snack, and ten minutes of nothing before homework.
Cooking together, the garden, or the treehouse until it's dark.
Baths, stories, and the same goodnight from the same grown-up.
